Gender equality

For content on gender equality, referring to the equal enjoyment by women and men, girls and boys, of rights, opportunities, resources and rewards. Equality does not mean that women and men, girls and boys, are the same; but that their enjoyment of rights, opportunities and life chances are not governed or limited by whether they were born female or male. Rights, responsibilities, opportunities and the command of power are not dependent upon being female or male.
