Crop and Food Security Assessment Mission (CFSAM)

A CFSAM is undertaken jointly by FAO and WFP, usually for emergencies related to agricultural production or overall food availability problems. It assesses the seriousness of a crisis situation, by looking at the food produced nationally and the extent to which poor people can meet their basic food needs.
