Synthesis of WFP Operation Evaluations (2015-2016): Partnerships for the Future

This report synthesizes the findings of 15 WFP operation evaluations conducted during 2015–2016. The operations had combined requirements of over USD 2.6 billion, directly targeted more than 18 million beneficiaries and were implemented in diverse country contexts. The evaluations found that operations were well aligned to national policy frameworks and objectives, with most operations moreover reflecting a pro-active strategic approach to design, implementation, or direct support to development of national policy frameworks. WFP’s strategic positioning reflects the organisation’s shift from implementer to enabler, now gathering pace.
