Résumé
Learning was gathered from engagement with the Malawi and Niger Country Offices and complemented with a review and synthesis of findings from other WFP research. The Niger research was conducted through a desk review and primary data collection and analysis, focusing on “Breaking barriers to girls’ education”, a joint project between WFP, UNFPA and UNICEF which aims to tackle the multiple barriers that affect girls and adolescents’ education and well-being in fragile and conflict affected areas of Niger. The research in Malawi was conducted through knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) surveys and their analysis and focused on the CO’s community feedback mechanisms, managed by Youth Net and Counselling (YONECO), an NGO working on empowerment of youth, women and children, and focusing on human rights and democracy.
