The assessment was designed to enhance the reach, accountability, and effectiveness of WFP’s community engagement through the reduction of language-related barriers by identifying current gaps, challenges, and good practices. It aims to help expand language reach to allow WFP and other actors to establish effective communication with affected populations. The assessment helps to make language inclusion a more systemic feature of WFP’s programs and improve program accountability and protection for the most vulnerable.
