Summary
As needs remained high in 2019, WFP and the EU continued to work closely together to save lives, reduce the risk of disasters and build better futures for communities affected by conflict, climate change and economic shocks. The EU and its Member States were committed to the world’s most vulnerable people, contributing a total of over €2.4 billion to WFP. As the organisation’s second largest donor, the EU and its Member States proved to be crucial partners in addressing the most pressing food crises as well as providing long-term development solutions.
