Pakistan is facing a multiple burden of malnutrition, with high levels of undernutrition, overweight, obesity and micronutrient deficiency. Poor diet is a common denominator of all forms of malnutrition. To this end, the Government of Pakistan and the World Food Programme (WFP) commissioned a feasibility study to identify plausible entry points and a scalable model for the fortification of wholewheat flour from small-scale mills (chakkis).
