Summary
This report starts by discussing the current refugee situation in Türkiye, including most recent figures, geographic distribution across the country and an overview of their food security and poverty situation. Then a brief review of the structure of social assistance in Türkiye is provided. The next section highlights the limitations of WFP’s current targeting approach and recommends amendment for the planned scale-up. The current reference food basket and its cost are then revisited and different approaches to set a MEB are presented. The study ends with recommendations on the way forward.
