In 2024, WFP doubled its historical average of Cash-Based Transfer (CBT) interventions from the previous four years, distributing 1.7 million USD. This included CBT through Food for Training (FFT) in the first half of the year and emergency responses via Global Distribution (GD) in the latter months. WFP reached 71,955 people with direct assistance and indirectly benefited over 90,500 individuals through assets, capacity building, and services, in addition to supporting 4 million people through national policies and programmes.
