Despite WFP’s corporate scale-up deactivation, escalating violence, health crises, and climate disasters deepened the humanitarian crisis in the DRC, worsening food security, nutrition, and protection. In 2024, WFP reached 5.2 million of the 7.1 million people targeted, but resource constraints hindered both planned assistance and response to emerging needs.
