In order to improve understanding of how food and nutrition can be integrated into GFATM proposals the WFP Policy Division, Nutrition and HIV Service, in cooperation with the Regional Bureaux and with external support from George Washington University and the Albion Street Centre, conducted a joint study in 2010. Prior to, and during, the GFATM Round 10 application process, six country visits were conducted in Djibouti, Ethiopia, Ghana, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. This manual reflects the experience gained and lessons learned while working with the WFP country offices and food and nutrition stakeholders in those countries.
