Summary
Venezuela’s ongoing political and economic crisis has led to hyperinflation, severe shortages of food and medicine, rising poverty, and widespread malnutrition, driving more than three million people to migrate to neighboring Latin American countries. WFP’s Multi‑Country Limited Emergency Operation focuses on: 1) providing unconditional food and nutrition assistance to affected populations to meet basic needs and protect vulnerable groups; and 2) offering common services—such as logistics, supply chain support, infrastructure, and emergency telecommunications—to enable partners to respond effectively to the crisis.
